History of TSANZ

TSANZ was formally established at 5.45pm on 30 November 1981 when nine Australian members of The Transplantation Society (TTS - International) and approximately 50 other individuals assembled at a meeting which was convened at the National Transplantation Conference in Adelaide.

Two of our founding fathers, Emeritus Professor Ainslie Sheil AO and Professor Bruce Hall who are Honorary Life Members, undertook to write the history of the Society. To read the history, please click HERE.
