Providing expertise and strategic guidance
Our 27 Advisory Committees and Working Groups/Subcommittees/Special Interest Groups involving more than 400 volunteers support the advancement of emerging clinical issues, transplantation research priorities, and education programs. Provide expert advice, specialised knowledge, and stakeholder perspectives to inform updates to the TSANZ Clinical Guidelines and allocation policies.
Annual Scientific Meeting including at TTS2026 and Associated Meetings
Our Annual Scientific Meeting and associated meetings serve as key platforms for presenting transplantation research for peer evaluation. Through our meetings we provide education and training for scientists, surgeons, physicians, trainees, nurses, and allied health professionals involved in the care of organ donors and recipients.
Guidelines and policy development
TSANZ continues to develop, review and implement clinical guidelines and guidance documents, including the Clinical Guidelines for Organ Transplantation from Deceased Donors, to promote equitable access to transplantation and optimise patient outcomes. This project also includes ongoing collaboration with the Living Donation Clinical Working Group to develop TSANZ’s first Living Donation Guidelines, as well as partnership with other Working Groups and Special Interest Groups to produce broader guidance documents. These efforts support clinical implementation and ensure the donation and transplantation workforce remains at the forefront of emerging advances in transplantation.
