Working Group - Adolescent and Young Adult Transplant
The AYAWG released a survey in December 2024, titled, Services for adolescents and young adults with solid organ transplants in Australia and New Zealand. The survey will capture data on what services are available (and not available) to AYA living with solid organ transplants in Australia and New Zealand. This will assist with the development of a TSANZ statement on what optimal care should look like to assist those units that are interested in improving care for AYA.
The Adolescent and Young Adult Transplant Working Group (AYAWG) was convened and chaired by Dr. Rachael Harry in 2023.
The Working Group purpose was to undertake a scoping review to identify local and international current practice and guidance documents with the aim to develop models and standards of care to support improved care for Adolescent and Young Adults living with transplants in Australia and New Zealand.
